For laser treatment, you need to avoid sun exposure for at least four weeks before your session and stop using any medication that makes your skin more sensitive (such as retinoid creams) three days prior to your appointment.

Greene Emerald Med Spa customizes your laser treatment and discusses the details at your consultation. While you sit back and relax in the treatment chair, your provider cleans your skin with an antiseptic agent.

They apply a numbing lotion to your skin to minimize pain and give you eyewear to protect your eyes from the laser. Then, they slowly move the laser tool over the skin undergoing treatment.

Your skin may feel tight and warm following laser treatment, similar to a sunburn. You may also have some flaking and peeling. Your provider gives you very specific instructions on how to care for your skin following laser treatment so you get the best results.
